Micromax® ME778
Item number: DPME7780-250G
A solvent-based screen printable ink used as a dielectric and a barrier layer for formable/moldable electronic applications
material notes
Micromax™ ME778 (formerly known as DuPont™ ME778) is a screen printable, solvent-based dielectric ink used to isolate circuitry that can be later formed and over-molded to produce an in-mold electronic component. The ink has excellent stretch ability necessary to withstand the forming process and the elevated temperatures used with injection molding processes with minimal change in performance. This formulation possesses excellent adhesion and compatibility when used directly on polycarbonate substrates and can be successfully used as a primer coat to improve printability and adhesion for overprinted inks. The ink can be printed through 280SS mesh screens yielding dry film thicknesses from 0.0004". Effective drying can be achieved at 120°C for >4 minutes. Successful drying will be dependent on dryer conditions. Thermoforming can be achieved using temperatures of 160°C with elongation >50%. The ink can be diluted using Micromax™ 3610 solvent.
