A screen printable silver ink used to fabricate conductive traces on flexible substrates. This ink possesses excellent drying and film characteristics once processed
material notes
Micromax™ 5000 (formerly known as DuPont™ 5000) is a screen printable silver filled conductive ink used for the fabrication of printed circuits on flexible substrates such as polyester. This ink will adhere to both print treated and non-print treated substrates while providing high conductivity, excellent flexibility, printability and abrasion resistance at low cost. This ink can be printed through a 280 - 325 stainless screen or a 195 - 300 polyester mesh screen. It can be dried between 120-140°C in 1-6 minutes in a conveyor oven or 15-30 minutes in a box oven. Lower temperatures require longer drying times to remove all of the solvents. Drying is also dependent on air flow and equipment design. Micromax™ 5000 is fully compatible with Micromax™ 5018 dielectric and Micromax™ 7102 carbon as an overprint. It can be blended with 7105 carbon. If needed, it can be thinned using Micromax™ 8260 solvent. FOR REFERENCE ONLYKey Properties
